National Scholarship Program
The National Scholarship Program (NSP) is an academic
Scholarship Competition for recognition and College
Scholarship administered by APEX Foundation, a
Non Governmental Organisation. APEX Foundation
conducts two annual competitions for recognition
and Scholarships: The National Scholarship Program
is open to all students who meet entry requirements.
Each year a total of approximately 10,000 scholarships
are awarded through the National Scholarship Program.
The NSP headquarter are located in Bangalore.
Its objectives are to provide access to postschool
education for all Indians, especially those facing
economic or social barriers; to encourage a high
level of student achievement and engagement in
Indian society; and to build a national alliance
of organizations and individuals around a shared
post-school agenda.
The National Scholarship Program provides fee
reduction for students, scholars and professionals
to undertake Diploma, Undergraduate Degree and
Post Graduate Degree course at any institute to
be decided by APEX Foundation. The initial reach
of this program had been primarily India, and
now the program operates worldwide. The APEX Foundation
are required to award scholarships on the basis
of a student's academic records, intellectual
ability and desire to use their knowledge to contribute
to society throughout the world by providing service
to their communities and applying their talents
and knowledge to improve the lives of others.
The National Scholarship Program hopes to create
a network of future leaders from around the world
who will bring new vision and commitment to improving
the life circumstances of citizens in their respective
countries. Over time, it is anticipated that National
Scholarship Program Scholars will become leaders
in helping to address global problems related
to health, equity, technology, and learning -
all areas in which the Foundation is deeply engaged.
The National Scholarship Program has been instituted
because of rising costs of college and university
education, ever more students have to apply for
scholarships to strengthen their financial support
in order to fulfill their dreams of higher education.
The National Scholarship Program offers the following
scholarships for their future studies. Scholarships
are awarded on the basis of academic performance
in the qualifying exam. Scholarships are fee reduction
on the published student's Tuition fee for a particular
course. Scholarship available to students is as
follows:
- If you have scored more than 95% in the qualifying
exam, you will be awarded 100% fee waiver of
tuition fee and free study material! No
test required.
- If you have scored between 85% and 95% in
the qualifying exam, you will be awarded 50%
fee waiver of tuition fee and Free Study Material! No test required.
- 25% fee waiver on the online tuition fee
and training fee given to the Central/State
Govt./Defence/Public Sector Employees whose monthly salary is below Rs.
15,000/- (supporting documents to be enclosed
to avail this facility) No Test Required
- If you have scored less than 85% in the qualifying
exam, you have the opportunity to earn upto
25% waiver of fees as Scholarship on Need - cum -
Merit basis by appearing for the General Admission
Test (GAT).
Regulation
We wish you success in your pursuit of scholarship
and grant assistance and in achieving your academic
goals. If you receive a scholarship you must obtain
85 percent marks in each semester / annual examination.
If you receive an award for the semester / academic
year but do not obtain 85 percent marks in the
examination during the first semester / year and
subsequent examinations, your award will be automatically
cancelled for the next semester / year. You may
reapply for award consideration in the next academic
year / semester.
Deadline & Notification of Award
Academic Session:
Priority will be given to those students applying
on or before July 30 for the Academic Session.
Scholarship recipients will receive an award letter
during the month of August. Applications received
after this date will only be considered if funds
are still available.
Calendar Session:
Priority will be given to those students applying
on or before February 25 for the Calendar Session.
Scholarship recipients will receive an award letter
during the month of March. Applications received
after this date will only be considered if funds
are still available. Incomplete Applications will
not be considered
